
Class Descriptions
• Beginner Dance (4-5) class is the perfect place to start your young dancer. They will be introduced to the world of dance and learn about musical expression through movement.

• Beginner Ballet focuses on building the foundation for younger dancers in regard to technique, strength, and form. Students will learn ballet positions, names, and combinations that they will continue to build on for the rest of their dance career.

• Beginner Tap introduces basic tap building blocks that kids will build on for the rest of their dance career.
​
• Level 1 Ballet focuses on building the foundation for beginner dancers in regard to technique, strength, and form. Students will learn ballet positions, names, and combinations that they will continue to build on for the rest of their dance career.

• Level 1 Tap is a great place to start for beginners who are new to tap. The class will cover the basic sets and techniques that are the building blocks of all tap.
​
• Level 2 Ballet class will focus on continued development of fundamental ballet techniques while raising the bar and challenge for students. Students will be more challenged in strength and flexibility as they begin learning more advanced moves.
• Level 2 Tap students will be stretched in their coordination, rhythm, and balance. Intermediate moves will be introduced while continuing to develop strong and consistent technique.

• Level 3 Ballet is meant for students who have a strong understanding of ballet technique and the fundamentals. The class focuses on honing the strength, flexibility and skill to take on leaps, turns and more advanced moves.

• Level 3 Tap class is designed for students who have a strong understanding of tap technique and the fundamentals. This class will be learning a number of moves building on technique and combinations from previous levels.
​
• Youth Acting 1 students will be introduced to the fundamental building blocks of acting as an art form.
​
• Youth Acting 2 students will explore blocking and dialogue through small scenes and monologues. Small amount of homework per week. Pre-req: Acting 1

• Adult Acting 1 will be introduced to the fundamental building blocks of acting as an art form.

• Theater Topics: Storytelling will introduce students to the core elements of what makes, drives, and connects us to story in the context of theater.
​
• Theater Topic: Scenography class will take a high level look at how all the non-performance elements of a theater production come together to tell the story through look, feel, sound, and space.

• Learning Choreography is a new six week class alternating between two different teachers to give students a chance to practice learning choreography faster and from multiple teaching styles. Students will spend each class period trying to learn the choreography to 30 seconds to a minute of music which would not be revisited in later weeks. The intent is to give students a chance to focus on learning choreography faster.
​
• Adult Contra Dance is a type of folk dance with roots in primarily English and Scottish country dancing. Students will learn and review a number of dances set to specific songs.
